[B]Ad

Ten worst political ads via Politico.

iPhone Pole Tracker

Slate has put out a nice iPhone app to track presidential election polls.

New Pathfinder

I love me some Pathfinder, a Finder replacement for OS X. The newest version is out and includes a window that sorts directories by size:

I found 9 gigs of bloat on my laptop in fifteen minutes.

Drama with Pigs

I've been listing to podcasts of The Archers, a BBC Radio 4 show. It has been on the air for 54 years and is still hugely popular. The latest episode's synopsis:
Tony and Tom are preparing for the arrival of the new weaners when Brenda reminds Tom they are off to the cinema that evening. Tom would prefer a quiet night in as he’s up to his eyes with his organic pork enterprise and the new pigman is proving to be well away with the fairies.
(I don't quite get the bit about the fairies.)

Part of the BBC charter is to "be free from both political and commercial influence..." and the show very much manages not to be commercial.

Crazies in the Back Yard

The Southern Law Poverty Center has a page showing hate groups by state.

Taking my Artlessness into the Third Dimension

I recently discovered an capable and easy-to-use rendering package for OS X. Expect to see this blog festooned with jaunty spheres and natty icosahedra in the coming days.

The McCain Whistle

Watched last night's debate at The Buck, where a friend noted that McCain sounded like Gopher from Winnie the Poo.

Biden on Palin

"You can't call yourself a maverick when all you've ever been is a sidekick."
